Charminar means ‘Four Minarets’ is
the historical monument of Hyderabad.
This historical monument was built in the command of the fifth ruler of the
Qutub Shahi dynasty, Mohammad Quli Qutub Shah in the year 1591 to the new city
of Hyderabad from his Golconda.
This is represented as the Icon of Hyderabad and
listed among the most famous and recognized structures of India. Charminar is
the oldest among the historical places in Hyderabad. A mosque was located on
the top floor of the historical monument and huge tones of granite and
Lime-mortar were used in the construction of Charminar and it almost took 1
year to complete this Iconic historical monument of Hyderabad. One cannot step out of the mosque praising
the architecture of Islam. This is the
center for many markets, food and raw materials for many local Businesses and
famous for celebrations of festivals like Eid-Ul-Adha, Eid-Ul-Fitr.
